Brooke Becker

M.Ed., LPCC

“Hi, I’m Brooke! If you’re feeling overwhelmed or unsure where to start, you’re welcome here. You don’t need to have the right words or know exactly what you need from therapy. We can take our time, get to know each other, and figure out what feels helpful for you.”

A space to be yourself

Maybe you’re second-guessing yourself, feeling pressure to keep up, or finding that things are harder than you expected. Maybe you’re navigating a change, struggling in relationships, or carrying experiences you haven’t had space to work through.

Brooke offers a supportive place to talk honestly, feel understood, and start making sense of what’s going on.

As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, she helps clients navigate anxiety, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, perfectionism, trauma, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

Brooke provides therapy for teens, college students, and young adults in Moorhead and throughout Minnesota.

What working with Brooke looks like

Brooke takes time to understand you and actually hear what matters to you, what’s been difficult, and what you’d like to feel differently about. Therapy is collaborative, with room to explore deeper concerns while finding practical ways to make everyday life more manageable.

Together, you might work on setting boundaries, responding to anxious thoughts, building confidence, or understanding patterns that keep showing up.

Brooke incorporates evidence-based approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). She works with you to find an approach that fits your needs and moves at your pace.

School, college, and figuring out what comes next

There can be a lot of pressure to know who you are and where you’re headed, even when you’re still figuring both out.

With experience in university counseling, Brooke understands the challenges that can come with college life: academic expectations, new relationships, growing independence, and uncertainty about the future.

She also works with teens and young adults navigating friendships, family relationships, self-doubt, and the feeling that everyone else has it more together than they do. Therapy can be a place to sort through those pressures and explore what you want for yourself.

Education and experience

Brooke earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Dakota State University.

Her experience spans 6+ years in university counseling, outpatient behavioral health, and hospital-based care. She has supported children, adolescents, and adults through individual, group, and family counseling.

Beyond the therapy room

Outside of work, Brooke enjoys a good cup of coffee, traveling to new places, and spending time with her family.

You may also meet Remi, her therapy support dog, whose calming presence helps make the space feel welcoming and comfortable.
