start with taking care of you
you don’t have to have it all figured out, just be ready enough to start.
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel intimidating, and that’s completely normal. This page is here to help you get started to answer questions, remove uncertainty, and make sure you feel supported from the moment you reach out.
You don’t have to do this alone, and you shouldn’t.
Am I the right therapist for you?
Finding the right therapist is one of the most important parts of the process, and I understand I’m not for everyone. That is totally cool with me and I do not take it personally. I’m not your “sit and nod” kind of therapist. My approach is real, direct, and grounded in both science and lived experience. Clients often come to me after trying therapy that felt too clinical, too surface-level, or too disconnected from real life. That’s where I do my best work and helping you actually move forward, not just manage another symptom.
Over the last decade, I’ve worked with teens, adults, and professionals navigating trauma, anxiety, addictions, codependency, and burnout. My work blends evidence-based modalities like CBT and EMDR with holistic, trauma-informed practices. I bridge evidence-based psychology and neuroscience with authentic human connection to create sustainable transformation of the mind, body, and spirit.
It’s not about “fixing” you (because you’re not broken) it’s about connecting the dots between where you’ve been and how you show up now, unpacking the beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve you, and actually living a life instead of existing in it.
I believe therapy should feel human. You deserve a space that’s safe, compassionate, and rooted in genuine partnership. I meet you where you are, without judgment (I will call out some BS if I see it though, respectfully of course), and help you get where you want to go with tools that actually stick.
Healing that meets you where you are.

What to expect
-
Feel free to schedule a consult call, or have your questions answered via email or txt. We want to make sure you or your loved one feels comfortable and it is a good fit before moving forward. If you are ready to jump in right away, skip to the next step!
-
For new clients, we ask that you fill out this form and our admin will reach out to you about scheduling your first appointment or consult.
-
Initial paperwork and payment methods should be completed approximately 1 week before the first session. That way your time in session is only focused on you, not paperwork. Documents will be sent in a secure online portal directly to your email.
As part of the initial paperwork, you’ll complete a few assessments. These help us establish a clear starting point and guide the evaluation process. Below are the links to the assessments we use:
-
We call this the “intake and assessment” session. The first session is where you will meet with Morgan to discuss your concerns and goals for counseling. For those wishing to use their health insurance for payment, there will be an assessment completed to determine if you meet criteria for a mental health diagnosis. More on this in the FAQ’s.
-
The first few sessions will be what we call “rapport building.” This means that we do not need to jump into the deep depths right away, that we will be getting to know one another and establishing trust.
The frequency of sessions will be at the pace you feel comfortable with. Many clients start with 1 time a week and over some time, move to less frequent as they start to make progress in their goals.
As a kind heads up, take care of yourself after a session. You may feel more emotionally or physically depleted from the hard work you are doing. It is a part of the healing process in repairing our minds and bodies.
“Living well is an art that can be developed: a love of life and ability to take great pleasure from small offerings and assurance that the world owes you nothing, and that every gift is exactly that, a gift.”
